Molecular Quantification of Human Bocavirus in Environmental Water Samples in Giza, Egypt

There are extremely limited data on the prevalence and quantification of human bocavirus (HBoV) genotypes in different environments, particularly for rivers drinking water. Here we performed quantitative real-time PCR (qPCR) to investigate presence load HBoV Nile water, effluent activated sludge wastewater treatment facility Giza, Egypt. The results revealed that detection rate was 95.8%  (23/24) 29.2%  (14/48) effluents water samples, respectively. not found samples from Giza governorate. mean concentration values genotype HBoV-1, HBoV-2/4 HBoV-3 were 0.52 log10 GC/L, 2.2 0.3 respectively HBoV-positive (n = 14), while 23) 0.77 2.3 1.6 viral type had a significant impact virus surface as well samples.
